H. L. Howard

H. L. Howard is an American author, screenwriter, songwriter, creative designer, and publisher known for integrating astrology, tarot, emotional intelligence, and music into literature and multimedia storytelling. He is the founder of Melvilleverse Press, an independent publishing house producing bilingual spiritual fiction, non-fiction guides, tarot decks, and multimedia works.

Early Life and Education

Howard holds multiple academic degrees, including an MBA from Baruch College, New York, USA, a Master of Science from Dalian University of Technology, Liaoning Province, China, and a Master of Software Engineering from Fairfield University, CT, USA.

Writing Career

Howard debuted with the novel The Journey Must Be Taken – Playlist, published on January 11, 2023, by Melvilleverse Press. The novel is a spiritual romance that integrates musical storytelling, spiritual growth, and tarot archetypes during pandemic time.

Screenwriting

Howard adapted his novel into a screenplay titled A Journey Must Be Taken, granted copyright under registration number PA 2-483-803. He also developed the drama synopsis In Angel’s Hands, granted copyright as PAU 4-234-146.

Songwriting

Howard has written 14 original songs that thematically accompany his fiction works. The copyright was granted by the Chinese copyright office in September,2025 and in the process of copyright registration in the US. Titles include:
